DD managed an 18-phase schedule, turning over two bedrooms every 5 days. The project adhered to Level 4 ICRA requirements and was executed while the hospital remained fully operational.

This project consisted of Level 4 ICRA requirements, under slab and plumbing changes that had to be coordinated with the facility on a daily basis. Construction was completed 3 weeks early and one AHCA cycle ahead of schedule.

]]> The Palm Point Behavioral Health project utilized the same design as a previous project, the Coral Coast Behavioral Health facility, allowing the team to secure permits and begin earthwork within 40 days of initial contact from the owner. Construction commenced within 75 days, enabling UHS to avoid filing for a CON extension. The facility was designed and constructed to accommodate a future 40-bed vertical expansion without impacting existing patient rooms or amenities.

This project also included a brand new Central Energy Plant (CEP), which replaced the existing and outdated CEP, a PHP horizontal addition and an interior renovation along with a corridor and anti-ligature division 10 upgrades throughout the center. Special consideration was given to our ICRA tool management including phasing and coordination of underground plumbing and above ceiling MEP modifications on all projects due to existing patients and support staff. This project occurred while the center remained fully operational.

]]> This project included the complete renovation of the existing 2nd floor behavioral health unit, along with renovations within the existing 1st floor ED that were designated for psychiatric intake. The scope of work for the behavioral health unit included new MEP systems, partitions, ceilings and finishes. The scope of work for the ED included minor demolition, minor MEP revisions, hard ceiling installations within the psychiatric intake rooms and finish upgrades within the entire space. This project occurred while the medical center remained fully operational.
